We started our day by walking to the place where we could have breakfast. Then, we had some free time to roam around Madrid, visiting monuments and buying things (Gran Via; Puerta del Sol; Mercado de San Miguel; Plaza Mayor; Cibeles; Parque del Prado). Around midday, we enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant "SteakBurger".

Subsequently, we headed towards the museum "Museo del Prado", passing by the National Bank of Spain on the way. There, we observed many manifestations of art from Ancient Greek sculptures all the way to impressionist paintings from the 20th century. Some of the works that the museum highlighted were "Las Meninas", by Diego Velásquez, "The Garden of Earthly Deligths", by Hyeronimus Bosch, and "Saturno devorando a un hijo", de Francisco de Goya.

After we were done, the group went to "Museo Reina Sofia". Here, we got to explore the evolution of contemporary art up until the present. The "stars" of this museum were Pablo Picasso (with the breath-taking piece "Guernika"), Salvador Dali (with the piece "The great Masturbator"), and Joan Miró.

Before our last dinner in Spain, we passed by Plaza Mayor, where we experienced all the beauty from the architecture that Madrid has to offer. And to finish off a great final day of the marvelous adventure that was this Erasmus programme, we feasted upon the restaurant "La Carmela".
